Multiple Solar Power Inverter Monitoring System

Multiple Solar Power Sources
If you are looking for a solar power inverter  monitoring system, when you have more than one solar power inverter, then we have the solution for you. For example you may have one solar power inverter on the shed and the other on your house.

We can supply you with a home energy monitoring system, where you can see the solar power from each inverter and the sum of the two. Add to this total solar power, your total home energy consumption and you will be able to see when you are importing / exporting.

All of this data supplying you with instant verification, as to whether it is best for you to use the free solar power off the roof or export it back to the grid. And this as you will know, will depend on whether your solar power is worth more financially than your import power costs.

So if you are finally looking to maximise the financial return from your solar power investment, why not give us a call and see what we can do for you.

When it comes to knowing your total solar and consumption and whether you are importing or exporting, we are the experts and look forward to helping you.

Adding Consumption Data To Cloud Solar Power Monitoring

Maximise Your Solar Investment
An easy way to explain this is to use as example, the cloud based solar power monitoring solution, known as ZeverCloud. ZeverSolar inverter's power data, is simply displayed on the ZeverCloud solar power monitoring website.

Now you will see in great detail the solar generated power, but your still at a loss as to whether your importing / exporting and importantly what your total consumption is!

Our research shows when solar power is installed, often consumption in the home increases. Why? Well by having all of that free power on the roof, can mean less power reduction under the roof.

Importantly if you don't know when to use that free solar power, you could be exporting it when you could be using it, to offset more of that imported power. Now in those States, where exported power is worth little, this is where you will make money. In other States where the coin is flipped, you will want to know when not to use the solar power, as you may be getting more for it that your imported power costs. So either way you make more money by knowing when to import or export.

So let's add the consumption power data to the equation. Now this will involve using a great solar power website like PVOutput. We know with the ZeverSolar, the data in the ZeverCloud can be easily transferred to PVOutput.

So all you need to do is get the consumption data from your home onto PVOutput. Once solar power and consumption are known, then import and export is simple maths and that is where PVOutput comes in.

We offer you all the hardware to get your consumption power data onto PVOutput. We will even get the data off your cloud based solar power monitoring dashboard, onto PVOutput if it's supported.

Not forgetting consumption power data can be from multiple sources, such as the shed and home. Not forgetting we can wave the magic wand and also get multiple inverters onto PVOutput, whether they are cloud based or not.

So why not give us a call if you're finding the detailed solar power generation is simply not giving you all of the information you need. Information to allow you need to make the best of your solar power investment and really start to reduce those electricity costs.

Currently we can transfer data to PVOutput from cloud based solar power monitoring solutions such:

  • EnPhase
  • Solar Edge
  • SMA Webbox
  • ZeverSolar ZeverCloud

If your inverter is not one of these brands, then no worries we can still get the data to PVOutput.

Whatever your solar power inverter is, if you need the generation, consumption, import and export then call us on 02 8064 3992

SMART Solar Power IFTTT Home Automation

TP-Link Smart Wifi Plug
So far we have tested IFTTT.COM and our SMART Solar Power dashboard with a few smart wi-fi plugs. Being able to trigger these devices when such events as excess solar are present.

Meaning your excess solar is now going to an appliance in the home, instead of back to the grid for little financial return.

What any smart wi-fi plug or smart device needs to have created within IFTTT, is the ability for it to be turned on / off. This turning on / off will then be controlled by the energy monitoring levels within our SMART Solar Power dashboard.

SMART Solar Power Dashboard
SMART Solar Power Dashboard

Smart wi-fi plugs tested so far are:

  • WeMo
  • TP-Link
  • D-Link

We are interested in hearing from a small select group of 'energy monitoring homes', to work with us in applying the polish to our creation.

If you have one of our home energy monitoring solutions or are interested in jumping onboard, then we would love to hear from you.

Please email the office in the first case.

Connecting IFTTT To Efergy Energyhive Energy Monitoring

Yes this is now possible. We have been able to integrate the IFTTT.com creation and triggering of events, now into our SMART Solar Power dashboard.

Excitingly this means anyone with an Efergy / Energyhive online energy monitoring dashboard, has the ability to switch smart wi-fi plugs / smart devices on / off based on such values as:

  • Solar power generation
  • Excess solar power
  • Total power consumption
  • Temperature
  • Light
  • Movement of sensor

This certainly is a great opportunity for those SMART energy monitoring homeowners, to now go one step further and trim more fat off electricity costs, or simply to get the best from their solar power investment.

For some of you it may be a smart enough idea, to make your home  super efficient.

Add Import Export Data To Your Efergy Engage Hub

Efergy Engage Hub Solo
We are offering you this service when you are short of time or technical expertise.

Using our in-depth knowledge we will transfer your data off your Efergy Engage Energy Monitoring Dashboard and onto PVOutput.org

Anyone with a net metered solar system anywhere, really needs import / export data in real-time. Why?  Because without it you are not maximising your solar investment.

Whether you are being paid less or more for your exported power, than imported power costs, you really do need to know when-to-use-it or when-not-to-use-it.

With little financial return you use it instead of importing power. Therefore more of your generated power is worth more financially.

With a bigger financial return than imported power, obviously you want to know when not to use the solar power. As you make more by letting it export.

Simple really! So why not let us transfer your data off your Efergy Engage dashboard, to get the data you need to start saving?

As a PVOutput user some of the features you can enjoy are:

  • Import / Export data
  • Total consumption and of course solar powe
  • Total power consumption from more than one source
  • Total solar power from one or more inverters
  • Live data in 5 minute increments
  • Data graphed and tabulated
  • Flat, tiered / block and Time Of Use tariff support

We are only charging you a one off fee for this data transfer service. See the  SERVICES page on our website for more information.

You will also need to make a small annual donation to PVOutput, to unlock some of the services and features we need to use, to transfer your data.

So why not call us today on 02 8064 3992 or drop us an email.

Current Cost Energy Monitor Solar Net Upgrade

Current Cost ENVI/R
For this upgrade to work your situation is you have a Current Cost ENVI/R Energy Monitor. Importantly it was connected with a gross feed-in-tariff, which has recently been switched to a net feed-in-tariff.

In Australia most Government funded gross feed-in-tariff schemes, started between 2009 / 2011. NSW Solar Bonus Scheme ran from 2010 to 2016 @ 60 / 20 cents per kW exported back to the grid.

Like other States in Australia, NSW has now switched to a net feed-in-tariff, both for existing and new installations since December 2016. Most solar powered homes in NSW, should have had the electricity meter reconfigured, to net from gross by now.

So what does that mean for your Current Cost ENVI/R Energy Monitoring System?

Well you may be ignoring it, as you will have realised the information does not make sense anymore, since switching to a net meter. Especially if you still have the current clamps in the same place, as the original gross metered install!

So how do you fix the issue and get accurate / meaningful data once again?

  • Well you need to upgrade to an online energy monitoring dashboard. Where you will use the existing hardware, to get the correct information you need. The dashboard and mobile apps will easily show you:

Generated Power
Total Consumption
Imported Power
Exported Power

  • You need to re-site the consumption current clamps in the power box

Two easy steps that will bring back life to your Current Cost Energy Monitoring System. Importantly two steps that will start saving you far more off the electricity bill, than you are now!

The HUB we offer with Free Energy Monitoring Dashboard, has plenty of mobile applications and also supports data being transferred to PVOutput. Which supports all electricity tariffs and offers email alerts.

Where you are being paid little for your unused solar power, it will really pay to know when you should be using it.

The real-time Current Cost Energy Monitoring Upgrade, will show you when to act and start saving!

Example Scenario :

  • Your exporting 7 kW per day of solar power back to the grid @ 6 cents. Worth ONLY $38 per quarterly bill :(
  • Why not use it instead? @ 30 cents import offset, that is $191 per quarterly bill :)
  • Meaning your $612 better off per year! :)

You Cannot Ignore A Possible $612 Saving!

It's not rocket science to know your losing money! By not knowing when to act! Get the data you need now, to maximise your solar power investment!

Solar Power Inverters Simply Forgotten After Install

Solar Power Inverter
How would you know if your solar power inverter went offline?

At what time after the fault would you discover the issue?

How much is this error going to cost you?

Our research over the years shows many householders check their newly installed solar power inverter frequently, only for a few months. Then less frequently until it is almost forgotten!

Of course once forgotten, there is no way of knowing if the inverter has an issue. An issue such as being offline! And if you were offsetting imported power to the cost of $3 plus per day, you can see this lack of checking is costly!

At $3 plus per day that is $275 per billing period!

It certainly does not make sense to rely on the electricity bill to inform you of a costly mistake! That is if you are checking the electricity bill, where often they too are little understood, paid quickly and filed away.

We have a solution for you! It is called SOLAR POWER MONITORING.

It is all about instant feedback, to make sure you keep on top of maximising the return from your solar power investment. Our solar power monitoring solutions can supply you with this information:

  • Real-time data, consumption, generation, import, export
  • Email alerts based on generation / consumption criteria
  • Weekly reports just in case you are not checking

Nobody wants the electricity bill to inform them of an issue! By then it is already a costly exercise.

So before you call us, we suggest you check your inverter.

Engage The Trend Of Solar Excess Diversion

Why not engage in the growing trend of diverting excess solar power to appliances on auto-pilot, when compared to sending it back to the grid for little financial return.

If you are only getting 6 cents for your unwanted power, it sure makes financial sense to use the same power to offset 30 cents or upward imported power costs.

Now if you have an Efergy Engage Hub connected to an online Home Energy Monitoring dashboard, you have that additional option.

Your data is simply sent to our Smart Solar Power dashboard where you can set triggers to activate smart switches and appliances.

Give us a call on 02 8064 3992 to discuss how you can maximise the use of your solar power, to increase your solar investment return.
