SMART Solar Power IFTTT Home Automation

TP-Link Smart Wifi Plug
So far we have tested IFTTT.COM and our SMART Solar Power dashboard with a few smart wi-fi plugs. Being able to trigger these devices when such events as excess solar are present.

Meaning your excess solar is now going to an appliance in the home, instead of back to the grid for little financial return.

What any smart wi-fi plug or smart device needs to have created within IFTTT, is the ability for it to be turned on / off. This turning on / off will then be controlled by the energy monitoring levels within our SMART Solar Power dashboard.

Smart wi-fi plugs tested so far are:

  • WeMo
  • TP-Link
  • D-Link

We are interested in hearing from a small select group of 'energy monitoring homes', to work with us in applying the polish to our creation.

If you have one of our home energy monitoring solutions or are interested in jumping onboard, then we would love to hear from you.

Connecting IFTTT To Efergy Energyhive Energy Monitoring

Yes this is now possible. We have been able to integrate the IFTTT.com creation and triggering of events, now into our SMART Solar Power dashboard.

Excitingly this means anyone with an Efergy / Energyhive online energy monitoring dashboard, has the ability to switch smart wi-fi plugs / smart devices on / off based on such values as:

  • Solar power generation
  • Excess solar power
  • Total power consumption
  • Temperature
  • Light
  • Movement of sensor

This certainly is a great opportunity for those SMART energy monitoring homeowners, to now go one step further and trim more fat off electricity costs, or simply to get the best from their solar power investment.

For some of you it may be a smart enough idea, to make your home  super efficient.
